I find this painting as a very dear one to me. The inspiration behind it as a numerical structure may be found within the Fibonacci sequence. The inspiration behind it as a shape may be found in the pine cones and in galaxies.\nI realized at some point that studying sacred geometry has always led me to seeing things in a microcosmic and macrocosmic perspective. This is happening because life uses the same patterns in the micro as well as in the macro worlds. Pine cones have been associated since ancient times with human enlightenment, resurrection, eternal life and regeneration (and if you take a look at galaxies you may see that they are the \"coat\" of the black holes which, even nowadays science lacks of understanding). \nPine cones are also seen in direct connection with the pineal gland or the \"third eye\". Pine Trees are one of the most ancient plants on the planet having existed nearly three times longer than all flowering plant species. The Pinecone is the evolutionary precursor to the flower and its spines spiral in a perfect Fibonacci sequence in either direction. Our Pineal Gland, shaped like (and named after) the Pinecone, is at the geometric center of our brain and is intimately linked to our body's perception of light and \"out of this world\" experiences.
